It is good to be able to stand on the moon and look back at the earth ...as it provides an awesome perspective. But, we cannot see what is happening on earth from the moon.

We somehow don't seem to fully understand a simple concept.

In going to the moon, we have to leave the earth's atmosphere.

Likewise, in venturing out in life we often leave the atmosphere that God has created for us. And as we depart from the breath of God's principles and standards ...we are wandering about and begin to lose our way.  Our eyesight is not remotely as good as God's.  There is nowhere we can go that God does not see us. But, we can wander away to a point where we have difficulty seeing God.

And that is why we often don't what to look at the truth of God.  We often hide like Adam and Eve ...where we don't want to face what we know is wrong.  Or perhaps we think God looks at us from the perspective of an astronaut looking back on earth. But, do not get this wrong ...God can see all, and He knows the details of everything that we don't see.

We often question why God allows bad things to happen.  But, we should not begin there ...we should perhaps ask why God allowed evil at all. Or shouldn't we ask why God allowed freedom of choice?

Would you be content with being a robot?  Some times we are not that far removed from being that very thing. We often align ourselves with a certain party or platform, and allow ourselves to be programmed by whatever we are fed by that institution or organization ...not questioning any possible hidden agenda.

Yes, God is omnipotent ....but if He used that 'all-powerful' characteristic to control everything, then there would be no choice.  With choice, we are allowed to decide for ourselves what we want to be most powerful inside us ...not to shield us from everything outside us, but to allow Him to guide and influence our hearts and minds.  This called 'insight'.

We question why God allows bad things to happen.  Is it wrong in our eyes that He doesn't control everything ...that He allows things to happen?

Why are we seeking control, when that is Satan's agenda?

We think we want control outside our lives, but we don't really understand.  We should no more blame God when something bad happens, than we would view Satan as 'slipping up' if something good happens.

God wants us to 'choose', to follow Him as He leads us to salvation.

Satan wants to 'control', and often uses comfort and desire as deceitful tools, as well as suggesting blame when things happen which we don't desire.  Should we then not desire and seek comfort ...that is not what is being said.  We should seek to desire the things God would have us comfort in.

God does not use favoritism, He leads us to favor through Jesus.

Do we prefer to attempt to understand God's purpose?  Or do we really prefer to believe in randomness ...rather accepting the theory of evolution, an impersonal existence with no meaning from the past and no direction for the present nor hope for the future.

It certainly has much to do with how we view God, but it also has to do with how we view ourselves.

Mount  up with wings as eagles, and soar ...don't be sore.
